KALAPUPS Group Class Service Agreement
Service Information
All group courses for puppies/dogs take place on designated days at Alan Anderson Reserve, Walliston, WA, 6076 or Gooseberry Hill Hall, 42 Ledger Road, Gooseberry Hill starting from the time scheduled and lasts for 1 hour.
One full training course consists of 4, 5 or 6 classes each held on the same day and at the same time each week for a period of 4, 5 or 6 weeks. Courses are limited to 4-6 attendants and are operated on a 'first-come-first-serve basis'. The sign-up fee for group classes is in the amount advertised for each individual class (hereinafter ‘Service fee’). All classes are taught by a Qualified IMDT dog trainer Karen Bertoncini (hereinafter 'Trainer').
Eligibility
In order to be able to apply for and attend the courses, before the first class the owner has to:
(i) present a vaccination record,
(ii) acknowlegment of this agreement via online booking, and
(iii) payment of the service fee in full
In her own discretion, a Trainer may deny services to dogs which are aggressive, not healthy, or otherwise not suitable for the training. In her own discretion, a Trainer may remove the dog from the training in case of any hazardous event
Levels classes
Level classes are offered in 5-session blocks. These classes build essential skills and provide a strong foundation for further training. Level 1 is suitable for puppies and older dogs, with separate classes available for each age group. Level 2 is an optional follow-on class for those who want to continue developing skills beyond the basics.
There are no formal assessments or progression requirements between levels, and participants can choose to repeat a level or move on to specialty classes like Recall or Loose Leash Walking based on their goals.

Payments and Refunds
Full payment is required prior to the start of the course to secure your place. Payment can be made online or in cash by prior arrangement.
If you cancel your enrolment before the course begins, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund, or a reschedule — this is at the trainer’s discretion and will depend on the timing and circumstances.
Once the course has commenced, refunds and rescheduling are not offered for missed sessions or change of mind. Please consider this when booking, as classes run on a fixed schedule and places are limited.
Bad Weather & Instructor Illness Policy
In the event that classes cannot be held due to unforeseen circumstances, such as severe weather warnings, temperatures exceeding 35°C, or government advice, an alternative day or time will be offered to reschedule the class.
Please ensure you follow us on Facebook, as we will post cancellations there. No SMS or email notifications will be sent.
If the trainer is seriously ill or faces a personal emergency and cannot attend class, you will be notified via phone, text, and/or email as early as possible.
If you choose not to attend a scheduled class, please be aware that refunds will not be offered for missed sessions, as stated in our policies.
Health and Safety
The owner confirms that their pet is in good health and has not been affected by any contagious conditions within the past 30 days. The owner further confirms that the pet is up to date on all necessary vaccinations, with proof provided in the vaccination record.
The owner acknowledges and accepts the risks associated with group training sessions, including but not limited to the possibility of disease transmission, injury, or bites.
The owner also understands that training does not guarantee that their dog will always behave as expected and that the dog’s behavior is influenced by various factors, including but not limited to the training environment, the dog’s temperament, and external circumstances.
Children - Children are welcome to attend classes. However, children under the age of 10 must be supervised by an adult who is not participating in the training, unless otherwise approved by the trainer.
If a child is disruptive to the class, the trainer reserves the right to ask the child to leave to ensure a safe and focused learning environment for all participants.

Liability
The owner is solely responsible for the actions of themselves and their dog, both during the training sessions and beyond. The owner agrees to indemnify and hold Kalapups Dog Training, its agents, employees, and all individuals involved in providing the service, harmless from any liability arising from or related to their actions, their pet’s actions, or any loss, damage, or injury to persons, animals, or property.
